Summer Family Time!

Since we spent the second half of the summer in Wyoming for Field Camp we had a chance to spend time with both our families! It was crazy that both of our families moved to Idaho this summer. We feel really blessed to have both sides only about 2 hours from each other. Now we can see them all a lot more often!

Some of these pictures are from before heading to Field Camp in Wyoming and some are from our visits with them just before we headed back to Michigan.

We're Having a Baby!!!

Back in May Austin and I discovered that we are having a baby! I was in so much shock that I had to take several pregnancy tests. When Austin came home from school I had Oliver bring a test to him and say "Mama has a baby in her tummy"! You should have seen Austin's face! It was a pretty hilarious moment that I will never forget.

Shortly after we went out to Wyoming for the summer and while we were there I had an appointment that revealed the gender. Everyone seemed to be certain we were having a girl. But, it turns out we are having another BOY!

We are all so happy! It is so wonderful to know that this little guy is being born into a world with a million excited family members who already love him so much!

Disbelief!

So happy!

Oliver is going to be such a great big brother!

Oliver's 2nd Birthday!

We had to celebrate Oliver's birthday a little early since Austin was on a trip with his students on Oliver's actual birthday (July 16th). So, while we were visiting my family in Pocatello before he left we had a family party. Of course it was Cars themed. He is obsessed right now. haha! We all had a ton of fun!

Getting ready for his Cars party!

Mimi made him this awesome Cars cake! He couldn't wait to take the cars off the cake and play with them!

Yep... he's even licking the frosting off Lightning McQueen in this one!

Mimi, Oliver, Papa and Hope!

Oliver was so attached to the cars that Hope had to open most of his presents for him! haha

Medford and San Diego

I am SUCH a terrible blogger. This trip was all the way back in May and I am finally posting pictures from it. haha! So, instead of a play by play of what happened I will mostly just let the pictures speak for themselves.

I spent about 5 days in San Diego with my sister, Devrey, and her awesome family! Then I flew up to Medford to see my parents and Hannah and Hope at home. It was such a wonderful trip and we made so many amazing memories together. Family is everything!

Marathon

I completed a New Year's resolution! Hooray! I ran my first marathon in May with Austin by my side. He and I trained all year (even in the snow) for this day and we did great! We finished in just over 4 hours (I think the exact time was 4:11)... so not SO great... but still. For my first marathon I didn't care what time I got. My goal was just to finish the entire thing without walking at all. And, we did it! We ran the entire time.

For the first 13 miles I had a really hard time. I was suffering from morning sickness and all the farm smells really got to me. I don't mean to use my pregnancy as an excuse but MAN those smells! UGH! I about died. And when anyone with strong perfume ran by I wanted to chase after them screaming, "who the heck wears perfume for a race, you idiot?!!". Austin thought I was being pretty hilarious! It was so great to have him there encouraging me and helping me through the first half.

Then, I miraculously got a bunch of energy around mile 13 that kept me strong the rest of the time. So, when we hit mile 20ish and Austin started getting shaky I was able to push him on and keep him running strong until the end!

We made such a great team! I'm so lucky I had him as my running partner.

We didn't take any pictures except this one... and it's not that great. But, here you go!
